To reward excellence, the University of York welcomes applications for the Dean’s Global Excellence Scholarship offers as tuition fee discount to talented undergraduate students within the faculties.
The scholarships are awarded to international students to support them in achieving their goals at the University of York. The award comprises of full tuition fee discount for the first year followed by £10,000 tuition fee discount for the second and third year.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the Dean’s Global Excellence Scholarship are as follows:
- The scholarship is Open to International (including EU) students only
- Applicants must have a conditional or unconditional offer to study at the University of York by 1 May 2024
- Be paying fees at the overseas fee rate (any fee assessments must be completed by 1 May 2024)
- Intend to study a full-time undergraduate course.
You will not be eligible if:
- You hold a 100 percent tuition fee scholarship or are fully sponsored.
Students on the following pathways are not eligible for these scholarships:
- Hull York Medical School
- International Pathway College
- Distance and online learning courses
- Part-time courses
- Kaplan International College London.

How to Apply
All undergraduate students holding an offer at York will be automatically considered and we will notify successful awardees by Friday 10 May 2024. There is no need to formally apply for the scholarship.
