Entry Qualifications/Requirements For HND Candidates

The minimum entry requirements for Higher National Diploma Programmes for specified field are as follows:-

1.  possession National Diploma (ND) in the relevant programme with minimum of Lower Credit in the field of interest and (5) Relevant Credits at SSCE, NTC, GCE, WAEC, NECO, NBC or NABTEB level.
2. A minimum of one (1) year Post National Diploma (ND) cognate working experience (Industrial Training).
3. All Graduands (Except that of Federal Polytechnic, Bida) are to send Transcripts of their National Diploma under confidential covers to the Registrar, Federal Polytechnic, Bida to ease consideration of their admission requests.
4. Graduands of the Federal Polytechnic, Bida must present original statement of result at the point of screening.

2.0 NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES

Federal Polytechnic, Bida Courses for OND Programmes

The Polytechnic runs Two (2) year full National Diploma (ND) in all the above listed programmes including Nutrition & Dietetics and Science Laboratory Technology.

Interested applicants should apply through JAMB and sit for UTME in the relevant subjects. Only candidates who meet the JAMB cut-off mark shall be considered for admission.

Entry Requirements for ND Programme

The minimum entry requirements for National Diploma Programmes for specified field are as follows:-

• Five credit passes in WASC/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB/GCE O’level in one sitting or 6 credit passess at two sittings

• Credit passes in English and Mathematics in SSCE or its equivalent, this is compulsory for all applicants.
• Not less than 150 JAMB score.
• In addition, Candidates must have chosen the Polytechnic as either first or second choice and scored required cut-off marks in accordance with the chosen course of study.
